THE EXONERATED depicts the injustices brought to bear against six people who were wrongly convicted of crimes, and spent years on death row, until they were finally proven innocent. Through their tragic stories, often told with humor and hope, we witness the triumph of the human spirit over bitterness and anger. As the flaws in the justice system are exposed, THE EXONERATED calls into question the use of the death penalty in the United States.
